Asset Protection & Estate Planning Presentation

Join us for this educational seminar on asset protection for long-term care, power of attorney, and advance health care directives.

Julie M. Fiedler, Attorney at Law, a National Elder Law Foundation-certified Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA), will explain the differences between estate planning attorneys and elder law attorneys, as many people are unaware of the differences and when one may be preferable over the other.

She will discuss the basic estate planning documents that everyone should have, as well as the nuances included in documents for older adults, such as wills, trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, and Advance Health Care Directives.

Julie will also speak briefly about public benefits that may be available to protect assets in the event of costly long-term care. These include Medi-Cal and Veterans Administration benefits. There will be questions and answers at the end of the presentation.
