How are home building professionals planning for the surging market of seniors that will continue to grow over the next several decades? When building single-family homes, condominiums or attached housing, what characteristics make the home user-friendly and supportive of independence? Unfortunately, the majority of housing stock in the United States does not take into consideration the unique needs that arise as our loved ones, our friends and we, ourselves, adapt to physiological changes over the years.

This program provides an integrated design approach focusing on best practices in home design and applying them to seniors.

The Eskaton-Certified Home™ Program is featured in the December 2006 issue of the Builder/Architect magazine. Click here to view the article.

How does the program work?
Builders and designers can be licensed by the Eskaton-Certified Home™ Program. This garners them the full suite of design specifications and permission to use the nationally recognized Eskaton name in their marketing and sales literature. In return, Eskaton provides marketing information, education and training for sales staff on the special features of the home and demographics of this unique market.
